E-Bill Notification

You may choose to sign up for e-billing which allows you to receive a notification by e-mail when a new statement has been issued. The notification will offer a direct link to Blue Ridge Electric's online payment feature; however, customers who utilize the e-billing feature may still pay their bills by mail or phone if they choose.

It is necessary when using e-bill notification to keep us updated of any changes of your e-mail address.

 


 

Budget Billing

Plan your monthly budget more easily with predictable power bills. Even though the amount of electricity you use can change with the seasons, your monthly bill doesn’t have to.  With Budget Billing, you pay the same amount each month, based on the average of your previous year’s usage.  This is a great way to plan your monthly budget more easily with predictable monthly power bills –

Levelized Billing

Levelized Billing is Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative's method of making it easier to maintain your household budget. Similar to "Equalized Payment" plans that you may be familiar with, levelized billing differs in that there is no anniversary or catch-up month at the end of the annual cycle. Here's how levelized billing works Your current monthly statement, based upon your true energy consumption is added to the actual bills for the previous eleven months. This total is then combined with the cumulative debit or credit on your account. The account will show a debit if you have paid less than the average billing during the most recent twelve months or a credit if you have paid more. The sum of the twelve monthly statements plus or minus the cumulative debit is then divided by twelve to arrive at your levelized amount.

How Do I Qualify for Levelized Billing?

  • You must be an active member for at least twelve months at the same location.
  • You must have a credit history with no more than four delinquent notices over a consecutive twelve month period.
  • You must keep your levelized billing account current.
  • You must have a zero balance to activate your account for levelized billing.

Invoice Billing

Invoice billing is an option for customers with multiple accounts. Invoice billing works to simplify receiving multiple electric bills at various times throughout the month by consolidating all of your electric bills into one bill. Itemized details for each meter appears to help you see the electric usage at each location. Invoice billing is ideal for school districts and businesses with multiple meters.
